L & G, now we are leaving from Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport. It is located 17 km from Makassar city and operated by PT. Angkasa Pura 1. the new terminal was opened on 20 august 2008. this airport is the main gateway for flights to the eastern part of Indonesia & named after Sultan Hasanuddin, a sultan of Gowa who fought against Dutch East India Company in 1660s.
SHIA is located on the border of makassar city & maros a suburb in south Sulawesi. Approximately 15 minutes (17 km) from makassar city via sutami toll way, or 25 minutes (23 km) via regular board.
SHIA was built in 1935 by the government Indies Netherlands with the name Kading Flying Field.
L&G, now we are on the way to the center of makassar city by this way, sutami. This is a new toll road. Makassar city is a capital of south sulawesi.. The business center in east Indonesia territory. South Sulawesi itself often referred to as “the Land of the Heavenly Kings”. SS is also famous for its tremendous scenery, and the quality and talent of its silk and silverwork industries. There are so many things that u could see and enjoy here, in makassar. Such as the tourism objects, traditional food and beverages, historical heritage, and the beautiful scenery of Maakssar’s landmarks.
Also this is a multicultural city, while u could see the makassarese, buginesse, torajan, mandaresse, batak, javanesse, even Chinese. They were working together without racial discrimination.
